GCHH is collaborating with other non-profits to provide housing solutions for people coming into re-entry and recovery. The current demand is far from being met as far as available beds to place these individuals in. GCHH is currently undertaking property acquisition to provide beds for both Sober Living & Behavioral Health Treatment.
Through The Communities Project, we have been providing tools and training to support community organization and action against addiction. Since 2017, 40 Communities Project events have been held across 27 states, involving over 1,500 participants. Their efforts have helped communities open recovery community centers, develop new family support networks, and build bridges with law enforcement. Events are ongoing. To learn more about organizing and building a powerful community, and developing effective action plans send us a message with Communities Project as the subject.
Every so often you have to do something that challenges the status quo. Why? Because it’s inspiring!
That’s why we partnered with AARP Arizona to promote the practice of “Disrupting Aging Models.”
Prove to yourself that age is just a number and become a “Triple Crowner”—someone who has hiked The Triple Crown, which includes the three longest trails in the United States:
- The Appalachian Trail (2,184 miles)
- The Pacific Crest Trail (2,654 miles)
- The Continental Divide Trail (3,100 miles)
All in all, that’s about 7,900 miles!
Since 1994, fewer than 400 people have done it and being given the rare distinction of being dubbed a “Triple Crowner.”
Now it’s your chance.
